While puppies are super cute and lots of fun, there’s also a lot to be said for having a calm, lovable older pet that just wants to nap at your feet. Fido may sleep a lot at first. That’s only to be expected. Changing homes can be very scary and traumatic for dogs. Your pooch may also need time to recuperate from being in a shelter.
